Here is my prediction, as the Playstation maintenance has been given the green light for Monday and Sony have been releasing more information on the PS4 Firmware it would suggest, if Sony release the full contents of PS4 Firmware V1.70 today or tomorrow we could see the firmware update released Wednesday or Friday. So much info coming to Playstation owners wonder what it could be
When does a tease become a bore? Usually when followed with “soon.” A month has passed since our counterparts from the USA Playstation released a blog post informing us of a PS4 firmware update, the same blog post appeared on EU Playstation Blog and it teased a little about PS4 Firmware that was due. (Has only taken 5 months!!! Boom Boom.) Playstation owners are used to the slowness of Sony.
So we now get a tweet from Envisager, EU Community Manager for Playstation teased a “busy four days of information heading our way.” I can imagine the fireworks coming from Playstation owners ears at that news. But hold on, it may not be the “infamous PS4 firmware” we have all been waiting on, after Owen tweeted, when asked about PS4 Firmware info, he replied with “soon” oh no, the dreaded soon has made a reappearance.
So we can take from Owens tweet that Playstation owners will be inundated with information over a period of four days!!! Now the speculation, news games, maybe a beta of Playstation Now for Europe, maintenance downtime, new info on Morpheus, the updated PSVita arrival or PSVita TV, a new peripheral, Sony sending me on a Caribbean holiday!!! (Only in my dreams, for the players.)
Whatever the information that’s being released am sure it will be enough to satisfy most Playstation owners, but the big question on every Playstation owners lips is, “when will we get the new Firmware and what features will it bring.” For now the official word is “soon” so don’t expect to see an announcement this week about Firmware, unless there is an announcement of some PSN maintenance, wink wink.
Oh, and if PS4 Firmware does make an appearance this week or next, will it satisfy all, was the wait worth it?
Double oh, did I tell you about the firmware rumours doing the rounds? Like this, friends list stability fixes, games sorting ability yes those are high priority, Video editing may not make it in this firmware update and will be delayed to the next. With any rumour take with a crane sized dose of salt.
